E-HOW: Simple Fashion Advice

Don’t know how, then EHOW.com it!

I am so spoiled with ”how to’s”  these days.  If I want to find out how to bleach my floors or learn a new braid all you have to do go to Pinterest, eHow or Google.  I love being able to have everything at my fingertips and learning at home in the comfort of my chaise lounge and Hello Kitty pj’s.

So when eHow asked me to become one of their style expert host I was excited!  Styling is something that comes very natural to me, but I know their are some people that need some guidance (much like I need lots of guidance in the kitchen and with my domestic princess responsibilities).

I reached out to a couple of my favorite boutiques, Julep and Demerara and got dates hammered out and details on each segment.  My filmmaker, Shane, was amazing and I am so excited to continue to work with him.  He is so relaxed but also gives great direction!

I decided to use the girls that work in and own the boutiques.  They are the best models for everyday women to relate too.  I like to show different body types in fashion.  I am even guilty of always going to the skinniest model as a stylist when choosing models for fashion editorials, but I try to work against that when I become aware of what I am doing.  Women come in all shapes and sizes and we need to celebrate ourselves and quit putting these unrealistic expectations on size and shape (this is me now stepping down from my soap box).

Many thanks to Cassie and Andrea at Demerara  and Cheryl at Julep .  Shout out to my girl, Ashli Vondara, too!

Here are the videos, I hope you enjoy them and even get a laugh over how excited I get while talking about fashion! ♥
