Red Carpet Review: Orange You Glad You Watched the Emmys?

Wow! One of the most hated colors in fashion and one of the hardest colors to retail and it DOMINATED the red carpet last night! I have to hand it to the stylists of all the fabulous STAH’S….they rocked the ORANGE!

My favorite one – Gennifer Goodwin in Monique Lhuillier! Hair, makeup, accessories and of course the gown- a stylist dream come true!

My other favorite theme for the night was “UnderThe Sea” from seafoam to mossy green, this had me wishing to be the The Little Mermaid for Halloween!

I will say I was a bit creeped out by Heidi matching everything, but it is one of my favorite colors from summer that transitions well into early fall. ( I am a bit partial since my bridesmaids dresses from 1994 were seafoam as well! Don’t judge! )

Most drab look goes to one of my favorite comediennes, Kristen Wiig. I ADORE her, but she needs to fire her stylist now! This color is lifeless and messy! It looks like she might be attending a Stevie Nicks concert after working a long day on set and had to get ready in the car! Call me Kristin, I would style you into fabulousity for the Golden Globes and beyond!

Most wrong look for her age- Emily VanCamp. Who doesn’t love this actress? I mean I use to love her on Everwood. She is so extremely talented! HOWEVER, this look makes her look like she is in her mid forties. NOW, this would be a great look for someone more mature, wise and refined. She needed Chanel to dress her or Reem Acra, like Zooey! She is YOUNG! The hair, dress all are WRONG!

Most likely to be down the road less traveled is this dahling number in Chanel! It reminds me of a collection I just saw in Dallas, Edgar Gomez! I love the white with royal print! It stood out in a sea of rainbow bright colors this year! Love the risk takers!
