Monday has NEVER been so good!!

So what an amazing day, even if it is Monday! We started off our day going to NEXT model management in NY, what a fabulous meeting we had! Then a stroll through SoHo where i nearly drained my checking acct, but exercised restraint and didn’t step foot in one store and only window shopped! I know my husband and my bank account will be happy about that!
Next we were onto The tents at Lincoln Center for Mercedes-Benz fashion week to cover some amazing shows!

First up, we went to see Falguni & Shane Peacock. They have earned a reputation for bringing the drama in their designs. Embellished body-conscious dresses, structured separates, metallic moments and floor-length gowns with feather accents are the pairʼs specialty. Their designs are coveted by celebrities and top-tier performers including: Lady Gaga, Kelly Osbourne, Jennifer Lopez, Kim Kardashian, Christina Ricci, Nicole Richie, Kelly Rowland, Fergie, Jessie J, Nicki Minaj, Katy Perry and Madonna.

The show had a goth feel with a 90’s twist on it! All the models were fitted with platinum blonde bob wigs and dark deep vamp lips. The show had a bewitching feel to it that contrasted nicely with the intricate beading and floral patterns. It had a futuristic tone with a punk rock edge! Lots of celebs were on the front row like Giuliana Rancic, Jeannie Mai, Paris Hilton and Jay Manuel.

We also got into the Reem Acra show and I could hardly contain myself! I mean I adore her designs! Of course, the show did not disappoint! It was inspired by the international nightlife, with 70’s disco music thumping through the tent, it felt as though we were at Studio 54 dancing with Halston and Bianca Jagger. The hair was brushed out, teased and crimped giving a whole new life to the afro! I was mesmerized by this show. It was chic yet feminine and sultry but ladylike all at the same time. The video below shows some of the finale!

So that is it for today, but wow, how I wish every monday was like this monday!

Blessed and thankful!

P.S. THANK YOU TO Paige Anderson for all the amazing photos!
