The beginning of something GOOD!

The beginning of something GOOD!

I have to say I was VERY hesitate about another FASHION WEEK DALLAS. I don’t mean to sound like a snot, but I normally am not impressed with shows in Dallas. The fashion production is thrown together and the styling is usually paired down to basic looks that don’t give me the DRAMA I crave when going to a show. I need LOTS OF RUNWAY DRAMA as you can see in the picture above.

I was immediately impressed with the website for Fashion X Dallas and how quickly they got back to me about tickets. Everything was extremely professional on the marketing and administrative side. It reminded me of the fashion gps I usually use when going to New York Fashion Week as media.

Well, as you can see from the pics above the show was extremely well put together visually as well. It felt professional and organized. Whew…what a relief …
It was such a festive atmosphere with goody bags, VIP lounges and great shopping too! As you can see from these pictures below everyone was there to celebrate and support the local designer talent!

I loved seeing all my industry friends there. Dallas has such a thriving fashion community. Here are some great people that actually make their living in the industry and work hard everyday!

I am a professional stylist who works on commercial shoots, editorial shoots, film so I have an entire different perspective than most bloggers or reporters on fashion. I go to NY to see the shows and am constantly living in the middle of all things fashion, so all that to say is that I love different designers…so just deal with it, DALLAS! (tongue in cheek:)

I am a SHOW AND TELL GIRL….so I will show you the designers I loved the most…..here we go..

It was invigorating to attend such a chic and organized event without having to pack and fly somewhere on either coast. This was a great start, Dallas……can’t wait for NEXT YEAR!

kisses to all and to all a good night!
